Great place. Francisco was a great host, all meals were lovely, healthy and filled us up. We had a relaxing jungle stay and learnt lots about the amazon. Gardens around the lodges are beautiful. Special thank you to Cesear who was our guide for the three days who explained how people thrive in the jungle and showed us all sorts of bugs, spiders, monkeys, we even saw a sloth. Our favourite trips were the night walks and the jungle day walks. Our advice for people arriving, come dressed in long trousers and tops. We arrived at midday in shorts and T-shirt and got bitten by the sand flies. But for the rest of the trip we were fine once dressed properly for the jungle (light weight clothing because it’s hot!!) and sprayed bug spray! Definitely recommend staying here, you won’t be disappointed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Anaconda Lodge. We felt this is sustainable tourism done right. We learnt a great deal from Francisco, Silvia and Cesar: Kichwa culture, the fragile ecosystem, flora and fauna, visible impacts of climate change and political instability. An increasingly important Amazon eye-opener, which everyone should experience. Excellent local organic food and a very comfortable stay too! Many thanks.

Eye popping beautiful, and just what we expected for an Amazon experience. We did not want the prissy swimming pool deal but the rear thing with real, friendly, and helpful staff. No made up "native Americans" but real people that were happy to see us and show us what the jungle is like today. The owners Francisco and Silvia made their home our home for our 5 day stay. Their native guide Cesar acted as our best friend and was extremely helpful introducing us to his wife and others living on Isla Anaconda and taking us to see plants and animals only seen in the Amazon. Did we vegans slip eating lemon ants? Maybe, but worth it to say been there, done that. Well done Francisco.

What a magical time in the Amazon!! Francisco and Silvia we're very gracious host!! Cesar is an excellent guide in the jungle!! It's obvious these people care about their habitat and want you to experience it as you should!! Rooms are comfortable, food was amazing. I often dream of the anaconda, and hope to return very soon!!!

One of the most amazing experiences in my life...Don't hesitate to go enjoy and unlearn all the things you think you know about the Amazon and the amazing people who live there.

This has been the best stay of our 5 month trip in South America. Francisco and Sylvia were excellent hosts - really friendly and attentive. They have many native staff working with them - both to maintain the superb service and food at the lodge, and to provide tours and guide services - especially Cesar. We experienced all weathers whilst we were there, and it was amazing to see the tropical rainforest in all its different states. The jungle tours were very informative as well as fun. The tubing down river was hilarious.. The lodges were excellent. Sylvia supervised the kitchen, and each meal was a culinary delight. I especially enjoyed her coffee ice cream. Although the most expensive part of our trip so far, it was definitely worth the experience. This isn’t just any old hotel - it’s a true jungle experience. My only reservation was that WiFi was charged as an extra. Nowadays, especially for international travellers, it’s really a basic necessity. I think in such a beautiful chill-out place, people will self-regulate and avoid spending all their time on their phones. It should just be included. We were not the only guests who commented on this. I would definitely recommend.

Currently two days into our four day stay. We love it here, very peaceful lodge overlooking the river. Local indigenous community members staff the lodge and the owners are passionate about giving back to the indigenous.
