I very impressed with the zoo especially for free! Of course I left some money from my girlfriend and I since they don’t charge for tickets. While the selection is relatively limited, it was a nice place to go on a Sunday afternoon and we had no local vendors hassling us while we were in the park. I obviously recommend!
An amazing place to visit when you are in town!!
For one who is not a fan of zoos, I really appreciated that they integrated semi-natural, open-air environments for the animals and birds. The guides Fabricio and Juan were extremely helpful and kind. They also have a quaint Artisan row, that is actually much larger on Saturdays, that sell local handicrafts and art. Additionally, there is a wonderful restaurant in the boutique hotel on premise that used to be a hospice, & they use food from their Botanical Garden on premise. I highly recommend a visit while in Guayaquil!
