A hidden gem - We stayed here for 3 weeks and had a great time. It’s like staying in an colonial house but with very comfortable and modern amenities. The restoration has been very tastefully done. The hotel is conveniently situated for exploring the city, only a 10 minute walk to the centre of the old town and a 20 minute walk to La Mariscal. It’s a beautiful and peaceful haven in this busy and interesting city and the family that run the hotel were always very friendly and eager to help. They made our first visit to Quito very easy and fun as they were always willing to share tips and tricks on getting around and what to see and do. We highly recommend this hotel.

Great place to stay !!! First of all all the covid protocols have been followed and hotel is super clean, and recently refubrished. Definitely would recomend it during pandemic. Hotel is strategically situated overlooking a busy city square just foot steps from hearth of historic center. Building itself is piece of art with balcony overlooking square and beautiful garden in the back. The common areas include reading/hanging out lightroom overlooking garden. Staying here made us feel so much like at home I wish we have spent all the time in hotel :-) Breakfast is healthy, with a lot of fruit variety and yeah you could probably skip lunch :-) Staff super professional, speaking good english and also readily avaiable to help with various arangments (transport, tours etc). Hidden gem definitely, staying here will make you vacation special!!!

This is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed and I would highly recommend it! The attention to detail in hospitality was amazing and we felt like part of the family from the moment we arrived . It is also located in a great location near to the colonial area, as well as Fochs. Can’t wait to go back and stay there again! The daily breakfast was outstanding with different fresh fruits and juices each day. Also, I’m a bit of a clean freak, and the cleanliness of rooms , dining rooms, etc exceeded my expectations .This will definitely be the place that I stay when I go back to Quito

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The owner, Diego, showed the highest standards of hospitality! From his warm welcome at the door until the equally warm goodbye. And everything in between, including offering to wash my dirty shoes after a hike, accommodating for my breakfast requests and even offering a free dinner (I skipped breakfast because of an early flight). The place is also perfectly clean and ideally located in the heart of Quito. Couldn’t have wished for any better! Definitely coming back!!

What a tranquil and pretty hotel and it's within walking distance of everywhere you want to go in Quito. I was alone in the city and it gave me peace of mind to be able to tell Diego when I would be back and know that if I didn't return he would be looking for me. Diego, Camila and their family are gracious and welcoming and bent over backwards to make my stay enjoyable. The breakfast was hearty and well presented and one of the advantages to staying at a small and family run hotel, or at least, this one, is the flexibility they offered. I could have breakfast whenever I wanted it.. They helped me order pizza and brought glass and offered wine to accompany it. I had one of the small single rooms in the back overlooking a grassy courtyard. Everything I needed was there in the well designed, simple and elegant little room. Even wash cloths... which isn't always the case in hotels in Latin America-- or Europe. Do yourself a favor and stay with DIego and his family at the Boutique Hotel Casona de Alameda.

We stay there two nights in Quito I would say its soooo lucky to choose this place as our last part in Equator. After cruise in galapagos we were so exhausting. This nice place make us feel very comfortable. The room is super clean. The owner's family are sooo kind and trying to make us feel just like home. The whole building is gorgeous. Highly recommend!

I recently stayed here and really could not say enough good things about this place. The family was incredibly accommodating and helpful, the rooms were all brand new, clean, and comfortable, and the location was a short walk away from a ton of tourist sites. I loved my stay and would definitely recommend!!
