Lovely hostel in a perfect position. Paul the host made sure we were comfortable for a few hours before we did a tour with him. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The tour to the Amazon was incredible.

Im a fond of give back to community!! This place is amazing for backpackers, tourist who likes decent amount for stay in Quito!! They have good amenities, free walking tour and they have package tours also!! I will be back here soon!!
Very chill , and a good deal. Close to a lot of shops and restaurants. Full kitchen and filtered water
I'm a seasoned traveler and have stayed at many hotels and hostels, but this is by far the nicest, cleanest, most elegant and polite hostel I've ever stayed at. There are other hostels near by but you hear the techno music playing in the background, the dark halls/stairs, the colorful murals and mismatched paint on the walls. Which is ok but, CarpeDM was well lit (motion sensor lights), clean, stress free and super relaxing after a whole day of up and down sightseeing. They also own the CarpeDM tour company and offer discounts for their (must do) tours, the walking tour is free! As a bonus they even have a washboard sink, which I had never seen before at any other place but wish I had. No need to hand wash your shirts and socks in the bathroom sink here.
This place was so perfect, I couldn’t believe it was a hostel and not a hotel. The rooms were SO NICE, huge, comfy beds and thoughtful amenities. Accessible by Quito public transit, the neighborhood was really nice and there were plenty of restaurants in walking distance.
The staff is helpful and very nice. I even got sick and the owner bought for me medicine. The rooms are good and the shower and the wifi work perfectly. The only thing that's not good for muchilers is the atmosphere and getting to know others. It's good if you want quiet and quality.
This is a really pleasant hostel. I choose to go here each time I need a place to stay in Quito. It has a calm, quiet atmosphere which I really appreciate. Good location in old town, the rooms are clean, staff are helpful, breakfast is good and there is a great view from the top floor. Carpedm is also a travel agency (the actual agency is located a block away) which makes it easy to book tours. I’d highly recommend staying here!
Absolutely brilliant. I was in town when protest were on , but the team there was very understanding... offering advice and being flexible when I had to change plans. Salute to Paul and his team incl Fernanda and co. - from an Aussie backpacker (Jeff)
