Los Arrieros is the most authentic Colombian food I have had in Quito. Its a little more expensive, but their service and the quality of the food make up for it. They greeted us with a shot of complimentary aguardiente. Just note that they do not add a 10% charge for service, so it is expected for you to tip. Also, know that their juice prices might appear high, but it's because their drink glasses are very tall.
Oh my god. Giant plates in a giant place. I actually like neither heavy food, nor meat. I felt morbidly overfed after sharing the starters plate with my friend. I would recommend this place to big people with big tummies who like to eat dead animals. I rather enjoyed the atmosphere, even had a clumsy salsa.
The food was very good with more than enough. Service was attentive but relaxed. Great atmosphere with music and the soccer game. Two dinners with drinks and bottled water for 25.50 We were very happy with our visit!
