Historic downtown had gorgeous churches and the architecture downtown was stunning. Be cautious when you're down in Independence Square and some churches to not be swindled by fake tour guides or fake priests that are only looking for money. The downtown is worth a visit when you're in Quito!

Beautiful open plaza square with a remarkable panorama of Loma El Panecillo .. this spot is considered the heart of Quito, at the edge of historical area.

Passés l'Arco de la Reina en allant vers le Panecillo, on tombe sur une immense place très dégagée à l'angle de la calle Morales et du Paseo 24 de Mayo. Belle vue sur les maisons étagées à flan de colline et sur la vierge du Panecillo, emblème de la ville de Quito. De là, on peut descendre vers la Calle de la Ronda.
