Delicious food - especially the burrito. Also the food is cheap and the portions have a good size. The chef/owner was very kind. Definitely a place to visit.

We came here because the restaurant looked interesting and good. It really didn't disappoint. Located in a secret super nice part of Quito even the walk there was nice. The owner is both friendly and welcoming...and actually a lot of fun as we would discover throughout the evening. The food was great, full of personal touches, of the kind that just makes the dishes stand out in awesomeness. When we asked for dessert, they were a bit sad that they didn't really focus on that...after which they whipped us up a great fruit salad, complete with a chocolate cookie on top, and coloured in the Quito blue and red colours... We finished off with a absurdly strong sugar cane shot. A great great evening.

Amazing place. The Owner Fernando prepared these delicious dishes as his entry to the Ecuadorian MasterChef. Simple but truly delicious. I so loved the burger and the Burrito de Pollo (photos). We met Fernando looking for a quick beer Once we arrived in Quito, and came back several times. He is an amazing host and cook (schooled in Argentina). He knows his meats and loves Mexico and it’s foods. We also had his Pizza (Warning: the normal size is huge). He prepares his meals from A to Z. The pizza dough and hamburger bread is prepared from scratch and based on beer and other special ingredients! Loved it. During the day, when we weren’t eating at his place he was so kind to show us his city and introduced us to other Ecuadorian specialities. We visited the the Central Market, the Basilica, and Middle of Earth together and he wouldn’t accept any money for playing tour guide. The least we could do is invite him for lunch and drinks during two spectacular days out. He is so proud of his cooking and country! Must Visit!!! I wish him all the best for his MasterChef entry and hope to meet him again in the future. PS: don’t drink burning Ecuadorian Sugar Cane Juice with him. I had to shave what was left of my beard the next day!

My friends and I had a lovely (and delicious) meal tonight at La Piedra. The space is adorably decorated and the owner-chef was so warm and welcoming to us. Having studied cooking in Argentina, the chef serves up perfectly-prepared steaks (high-quality imported meat) and grilled chicken (marinated with lemon). Most of the food is inspired by the cuisine and flavors of Uruguay — including pizzas, pastas and abundant grilled dishes.

Highly recommendable! We had a burger with fries for only 2,75 Really delicious! The waiter even walked us home at night so we would arrive home safely!

Ridiculous value-for-money. The house burger (Cantuña) with a side of fries was by far the best burger I've had for years. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere was more like that of a pub than of a restaurant, but it's cozy.
