Perfect meeting spot for locals, surrounded by the most important local buildings such as Ambato's modern Cathedral, the Municipality, Post Office, Ecuadorian Cultural House and the house where famous liberal writer Juan Montalvo was born, which was turned into a museum, Montalvo's embalmed corpse can be seen in a crystal box along with personal effects and original writings.
