San Sebas is a great place for American breakfast and lunch. Their pancakes are absolutely delicious. They make real homemade chocolate chip cookies! My husband loves the chili. Bonus that you can sit outside in Parque San Sebastian, the best park IMO.

Brilliant and creative breakfast menu at a reasonable price. This is my go to breakfast place in Cuenca. It can't be beat for quality of food, service, and atmosphere. There is also outdoor seating in front and inside the restaurant.

What a great find for breakfast! We arrived in Cuenca late last night & woke up hungry. After arriving, we were quickly greeted & served up the biggest coffee ever! My daughter loves them. And after having the San Sebas pancakes she loves them even more. What stood out to us the most was their customer service. I just loved their bagels. We strongly recommend their establishment and their pancakes.
This is one of our weekly breakfast spots. So good! The huevos rancheros (pictured) are my fave, with the chilaquiles or pot roast scramble as close seconds.
