Damascus Lebanese Food is absolutely worth your consideration. We heard about it on GringoPost.com and decided to give it a try. We are definitely dedicated fans now and order about once a week. The portions are moderate and are a good value for the money. Everything we've tried has been delicious. We love falafel, hummus, just about anything and everything from this cuisine. We even make our own toum (garlic sauce) and slather it on everything. The food is basic, healthy and makes us happy every time we order. The tastes and smells are earthy and wonderful. The service is great and I hope they expand their offerings in the future. If you are in the mood for a wonderfully inventive vegetarian lunch or dinner give them a try you will not be sorry. I can't recommend them highly enough.
Flavorful Middle Eastern food. I need to try more items, and will. The Babaganoush was outstanding and the Namura dessert very tasty and different. Their service is attentive and punctual. Good luck! You deserve it.
I’m only sorry we didn’t photograph the dishes we received, so that you can visualize how profoundly different our food was from the photographs they provide in their menu and online. Perhaps their meat dishes are more true to the photos. However, their fattoush salad looked absolutely NOTHING like their photo. It basically was tabouleh, chopped a little more coarsely and altogether missing the “secret ingredient”—sumac spice. Very, very disappointing. The muhammad, likewise, was the consistency of ketchup, lacking altogether any semblance of the humus-like consistency shown in photographs. It was, rather of the consistency one might pour over a salad, like a slightly thicker dressing. The cabbage rolls were incredibly tiny, almost like finger twists. Hard to believe such a tiny portion with the tiniest conceivable portion of tabbouleh could be 4.00. Finally, the baklava was more like toasted, thin slices of pastry with a gooey filling of honey and walnuts, but unlike any baklava we’ve had any many places all over the world. Missing altogether the delicate, thin layers of pastry and truly freshly crushed walnuts we’re used to. Though service was on time, and the ingredients were reasonably fresh in the salad items, there was no single item we ordered which we would wish to have again—not even the falafel. We’ve eaten better examples of many of these items here in town and vastly better examples of each individual item in the US, Middle East and in the UK. Very, very disappointed , and perplexed by the excellent reviews. We hope your experience is better. We won’t be back for more.
