Fundación Cordillera Tropical (FCT) is a civil-society nonprifot that works toward the conservation of Ecuador's exceptional biological diversity and water resources. We concentrate our efforts in the Cordillera Real Oriental in the south of Ecuador, where world-reknowned protected areas like the UNESCO Sangay National Park and Río Negro-Sopladora National Park, coexist with rural communities dependent on agriculture and the region's impressive natural resources. The central pillar of FCT’s approach is to support local communities and landowners in conserving montane evergreen forest and páramo grassland, and the wildlife to which they are home.
