This is a truly special place! I stayed there for 8 nights in one of their cabins. The cabin was clean, comfortable and had a comfortable king sized bed. I opted for a cabin without a bathroom, but the bathroom and shower facilities were spotless and had abundant hot water. The food was nothing short of amazing for every meal. Santiago, Dani and the rest of the staff were exceptionally friendly and did everything they could to make my stay perfect. I was initially worried about COVID, but the entire staff was very careful and took all precautions seriously. Santiago took us on several rivers in the area, we had our own rafts so he came along in his kayak for safety and logistics. He knows all the rivers in Tena and Baeza. In addition to knowing the rivers he was able to do most of our shuttles for us. When he was not able to do our shuttles he knew someone in every town that took care of us. It's always a gamble to rely on a stranger to get back to civilization, but all of Santiago's recommended drivers were on time and were COVID safe and were safe drivers. Santiago and Dani have built a really nice lodge/resort that is clean, and sustainable. Rain water is collected, food is local and they have done an amazing job employing locals and using local materials and food. Their onsite farm/gardens are beautiful and have some delicious food growing. I really appreciate staying at a place that utilizes a local workforce and locally sourced materials. Many other places in the area are owned and operated by out of town people, which hinders local sustainability. Santiago and Dani's commitment to the local economy and workforce is commendable. I'll be back for years to come.

I just completed my second private tour with owner Santiago over the past two years. Santiago is the finest whitewater guide in Tena (the office in Archidona is 10 minutes way). He speaks impeccable English and is a great and patient instructor. He's also a terrific all-around person who can give you advice on climbing Ecuador's mountains, visiting the jungle, etc, etc. I'm an intermediate kayaker but have gotten WAY better under his guidance. Experts can arrange any level of trip as he has done first descents on some of the gnarliest rivers in the country. He is active in local river preservation, loves what he does, and loves people. Simply the best.
Learn kayaking here! I took the 2-day beginners course and I can only recommend itl!! Santiago is a great instructor. He made sure I felt comfortable at all times, in and out of the water. His instructions were always clear and straight to the point . The course risked ending already after 5 min, when my shoulder suddenly dislocated. Santiago explained to me the sequence of movements to perform, and helped me to put it back in place. It worked! As I was not in pain and wanted to continue the course, he adapted a bit the programme. This allowed me to practice different maneuvres, without the risk of dislocating my shoulder again. With a series of progressive exercises, I significantly improved my coordination, orientation and comfort underwater, and was able to do things I had never imagined. The second day we went down the Napo river. It was an opportunity to practice some of the moves learned the day before, but also to have fun in the waves in a spectacular setting. The school is also active on various fronts in the protection of the environment. The new lodge (with river view) is designed to minimise its ecological footprint and includes a beautiful garden, as well as a reforestation project. Highly recommended!

We hebben een fantastische raftdag gehad. Met 6 personen en onze zeer enthousiaste gids Santiago. 4 uur raften , meer dan 22 "rapids ". Geweldig zoals hij ons door de golven heeft geleid. Halverwege zijn we getrakteerd op een goede verse lunch. Een absolute aanrader als je wil raften.
