Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by a doorman and drinks while checking in. The view thru the windows are fantastic, the panoramic "hilly" city and on a clear day you can spot a volcano behind the high mountain peaks of the Andes. Breakfast is a must, the variety of choices and local delicacies makes this place unique. Room service is so so, pricey in my opinion. Food in general is cheap around Quito, there is no reason for excessive room service price.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Swissotel Quito! All of the staff were pleasant and helpful. We ate at several of the restaurants in the hotel and they were all reasonably priced and good. The view from our room was incredible too!
Elegant, quality service, patient and helpful staff. I spent 2 years in a private suite upthere. The hotel offers an interesting deal: a 25 dollars extra for a one-day visitor, including dinner at the fancy roof restaurant. All in all I really enjoyed my stay there. An overdue thank you for everything.
The breakfast here is phenomenal. Rooms are large and comfortable. There is a fair amount of traffic noise from the streets below.
I stayed at the Swissotel on two separate occasions on my month spent in Ecuador. Both times service was great. However, I want to talk about the second time I stayed there. I had just been shipped back from the Amazon because of the borders shutting down and things closing down in the country. I had accommodations elsewhere, for two nights, and once that hotel closed because not enough people were staying there, I quickly booked the Swissotel, which was nearby. They put me in a family suite with a kitchen, washer/dryer which was perfect because I wasn't sure how long I was going to stay. I booked two nights initially in hopes I was going to get a flight home. I was in touch with both the Canadian and US embassy's with no such luck securing a flight. I went to the front desk on the second day inquiring about extending my stay. GABRIEL MARQUEZ said I could but then asked me if I had a flight home yet. I told him I was trying with no success. He said he may be able to help and they would let me know by that evening. Gabriel and CARLOS PINEDA worked diligently with an Ecuadorian travel agent to secure a US humanitarian flight for me the next evening!!! Now if that's not customer service, I don't know what is. Not even both my embassy's could do that as fast as they could. And also, the flight was reasonably priced. Gabriel and Carlos, I can't THANK YOU enough. You made a solo female traveler feel so safe in a very uncertain time and for that, I will be forever grateful. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for treating me with kindness and respect. I will never forget it!
Lively hotel downtown. Great breakfast. Beautiful flowers. Excellent service. Watch the hot water. It is VERY hot and could burn skin if you are not careful.
The hotel is about 45 minutes from the airport and is close to the city centre. The staff are very friendly and a good proportion speak both Spanish and English. The rooms are clean, comfortable, spacious and offer a view of the mountains, the street below and the hotel across the road. The hotel boasts a pool in a courtyard in the middle, a swimming pool for exercise, a spa and an impressive exercise room that a lot of people use. The food is a mixture of western and specific foods from Ecuador and its surrounding countries. The food is good, the staff are attentive and pleasant. The hotel offers conference facilities that are good and they can provide technical assistance, microphones, projectors etc. The staff assist you in getting taxis and can organise tours.
